End of Year news..

20.12.2008

So, looking back over the year it feels like it was a brisk walk up until September, then a chaotic sprint finish to the end. I have met some great people lately with similar visions and am really looking forward to 2009..feels like I say that every new year!!

There have been some big changes to the direction of both the band and the project and after making some pretty life changing decisions, which I feel are definitely the right choices. Read the journal for my full thoughts.

PAUL VAN RYAN ALBUM NOW OUT

So, whilst the band was having quiet time, I ploughed on through and finally recorded my debut album "Man of the Pee-Pole" and have been really happy with both the response and the recordings and feel it's a true representaion of what i'm trying to aim for.

After playing all the acoustic nights I run and being constantly asked if I had a CD, I thought it was high time I got one put together. There are a few tracks from the Phases album I did in 2004 which have never been used and recorded 6 brand new ones with Ben Ablewhite that seemed to go down the best live.

You can here a few tracks at www.myspace.com/paulvanryan and although the album isn't officially released until Feb 2nd 2009 you can get advanced copies at gigs or by clicking here for a fiver or going to iTunes and typing in Paul Van Ryan (£7.99).

So far it has been described as witty, intelectual, honest, confessional and catchy as hell...some people think it's rubbish too, but cant please everyone right? ha ha.

The first single will be "Find the right preacher" due for release end of Feb/March. The re-recorded version has just been finished and the promo video to be shot in January. More details to follow.

Thats all for now, come back in January to see what's new in the world of project circle 3.

Have a great Christmas or winter holiday and hope the new year brings you something great.

Cheers, Paul van Ryan
