Finaly this is the real deal on the rescheduled Party on the Pond on August 11th from 7.30pm at Jephson Gardens, Leamington Boat Hire centre, Mill Street, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire

Last year we rasied over £500 to help our friends Emma and Ruth rebuild schools and houses out in Asia, and this time we're doing it for 2 other local lasses, Kate and Jodie, all on 21 July 2007, from 7.30pm

There will be the usual line up af bands, BBQ's, DJ's and extra treats along the way to keep you entertained all for a measly 3 bucks.

Bands Booked to play will be us Circle 3 (with Paul back on vocals), BBC School of Rock finalists Vehicle, Local super hero's and boat yard attendands New Spirit Navigator and reformed Wish stars... Stars...we have an acoustic stage also, with Laura Denning, Harris Taylor and 6th Line playing inbetween acts too..

Last year we had problems with folk sneaking in, we urge peeps not to do this for the simple reason of it only being £3 entry which is all going to good causes. Wrist bands will be issued this year and those without one will be ejected from the site...i'm sorry...you do get alot for your pennies though.

This will be awesome as ever (as long as the rain holds out) and the usual Bring your own Booze applies (please drink sensibly)

15 reasons to come...

1) Drinking your own booze on the jetty of the pond...where else can you do that in town?
2) The cream of the Leamington Music scene all playing for your ears
3) DJ's playing phat toons
4) a very resonably priced BBQ, with a ver passionate chef...Mr Dave Jenkins B.B.Q
5) Its on a saturday night
6) It's ONLY £3 to get in
7) all profits head to charity, including a donation to the boat house itself for being damaged in the floods
8) Ask anyone who went the last 2 years...they're coming again cuz it was so awesome
9) A load of folk offer thier time up for free to help organise it all and make it happen
10) Its just a lovely socialble night out, very chillaxed!
11) It shows that we wont be beaten by the floods
12) We have a marquee in case it rains
13) We have an awesome raffle too
14) gonna be ladies there
15) gonna be boys there too

See you there folks x

...a quick story for you about the floods...

Party on the pond
obviously got called off due to the boat house being 4ft underwater (not good)..but luckily after the warnings we had about it, we had the Robbins Well on the side to put on the bands if we were to move the shindig...

But then the Well flooded too!!
...damn it...we asked around a bit ad managed to get the Jug and Jester at 5pm...so phones went mental between bands and punters and volunteers etc for an hour and everyone got there on time..phew...now the test of promo!

for the past 3 months we've been promoting "Party on the Pond"..and having to change it to "Party not to near from the pond" at the last minute was a test of technology....naturally we didnt expect to have the same numbers we would have got from the pond...but still..we managed to raise over £250 for the charity and the night was hailed a sucess (woo hoo)...Facebook, Myspace, Texts, Phone calls, emails are to be thanked alot for..

So, the thankyou's go to...
Nikki, Katie and Jodie for doing the door and plugging the CD
Ben Ablewhite for the sound and donating his fee back into the pot, All the bands Vehicle, Stars, New Spirit Navigator and of course Circle 3 lads,
Kris Bucin for filling in for singing, and Ben again too
Matt Bishop of the boat center for nearly having us,
Robbins Well's Andy Hollier for nearly having us too,
The Jug and Jester's Jon and Olly for having us,
and of course everyone who came and donated/supported the night

Party on the pond may be rescheduled for a later date..if it does, then we shall let ya know all about it

cheers loads

Paul
