Army of Angels
Lewis Smith - Bassist and Web Developer
Lets start with Lewis Smith for building the current Circle3 website. He and the other Kingtide folk do great work for us and help out so much. Lewis also filled the bassist boots when trying to recruit and played many a gig with us. Helps out loads with the charity events too.
Steve Hindmarsh - Graphic Artist
Steve created the sleeve art for the Secrets EP, which was also used as the bassis for the look of this website. Get in touch with Steve at steve_hindmarsh@hotmail.com or http://www.myspace.com/stevehindmarsh
Matt Katz - Producer of Noisegate studios
Matt has helped loads with the recording side to the project, from the first album "Phases" where he gave so much support to my needs, up to the "Secret" EP. He's helped keep costs down and played on a few tracks too. get in touch at matt@noisegatestudios.com
Ben has helped loads with the project, he engineered the "Secret" EP, sang and played guitar on "Phases", has played live for us when Kev has been away, provided his PA and stuff for charity events and gigs, the list is quite long. He's the driving force behind Kingtide and Pillarbox records.
Emma Freeman - Photographer
When I got the idea about the guess who promo pic's, i pitched the idea to Emma and told me that it could be done, but had no idea it would turn out as great as it did. We've had great responses to the artwork and will be hosting a charity event in aid for her good cause mission rebuilding schools out is Asia.
Jenny Ricketts - Organiser/Promoter/Volunteer
Jenny was the main brain behind the first Leam 'n' Aid festival, we all wanted to do some sort of all day event and worked our arses off making it happen. She did loads with the press and various other events the project have ran like Party in the pond. I hope she's willing to help out with the next batch of charity events.
Wayne, Andy, Jim & Jim of Scream Open mic bosses!
Whilst wanting to progress the project, I needed a bit of bread and butter behind me to cover the costs of recording etc, they all gave me open mic residency in thier bars which helped loads with both raising profiles and funds for the circle3 project. Robbins Well, The Aardvark & The Phoenix.
Greg Williams- Manager of Macky's Wine bar
When I needed more funds, Greg hired me to play in his bar every fortnight. We've become great friends through it all and now sleep in the room next door to him.
Julie Robinson
No matter what role she plays in my life I do owe her a lot for putting up with the bad bits that go with the lifestyle I lead. She has always been there for me through the tough times and wish she was there for more of the good times. One of the greatest women on the planet who I will never forget.
Volunteers for Party in the Pond, Leam ‘n’ Aid & 5 a side football
I know I’ll forget someone, but these people have helped volunteer for the charity events we’ve thrown so far, Dave/Garth and Joey, Matt Bishop and the staff of the Leamington Boat hire centre, Marc Stickley, Hannah, Krissy and the bunnies, Robbins Well staff, all the bands that played, Greg, Jenny, Kingtide posse, Sam, Ruth and Bronwyn, Myton school, Hannah abandon, Oofi, Rob Skinner, press and everyone who came support the events.
The Musicians
There have been loads of musicians involved in the making of the Circle 3 band both live and recordings. I’ve already mentioned Ben and Lewis from Kingtide, but before the full line up came around there was Rich Norris, Meg Lloyd, Sam, Becky, Sarah and the rest of the brass players, Pete Sawyer, Colin Locke, MC Suggs, Becky Dixon, Sebo, Olly Brown and other random one offs that have turned up to help out.
Kevyn Williams – Lead Guitarist/Friend
Kev became my right hand man just after the project started, we played at my open mic night every Sunday and started writing a few months later. His ear for riffs to the stuff I write has been amazing, complimenting each other loads. He took a keen interest to start making the Circle 3 website…but not so keen to finish it!...enter lewis!
Chris Laird – Drums/Friend
He is a boy scout trapped in a mans body, always prepared, always have whatever you need in the back of his car. A great sound down to earth guy and amazing drummer, providing the perfect beats to the tunes. Very dry humour, loves to rock, loves to be sensible.
Sam Morris – Bass/Friend
Sam has entertained me from the day I met him. Always one of the first to dance, pass out or throw up and usually all 3 in a night. Me and Kev asked him to join the band when at Reading 2005, he couldn’t play it, but he can now…sort of! You cant fault the guy even when he’s at fault.
Dale Davies – Guitarist/Friend
I remember sitting on the campsite at Glastonbury 2005 and Dale was playing the guitar in the background, now and again I’d hear a Circle 3 riff and look over to which he’d just give a little smirk back. Can’t believe it was a year later when he joined as “Beef” and has inspired a lot of the later stuff written for the band. His hearts in the right place…just above his big belly full of Subways!
Matt Bishop - Leamington Boat Hire Center owner
I've known Matt since he taught me at school and was surprised to see him when I first visited the Leamington Boat Hire Center.
Every year he lets us throw our Party on the Pond for free and does whatever he can to help us out. Party on the Pond is one of the areas best annual nights out and would never happen if it were not for Matt.
Iggy - Photographer
Iggy has been mates with Sam all his life and he has took so many of our live and promo pictures for nothing. I salute the guy for his time and talent.
